Secrets To A Happy Life

One of the secrets to a happy life is doing something that you love. So, why not start a project; if you are already in a project - start another one before the one you are in comes to an end.

I am so vibrant and enthusiastic about life because I have several projects on the go.

Having multiple projects keeps the body and mind busy.  It keeps you full of energy and challenges your skills and ingenuity. It leaves leaves you with little time to wallow in self pity, aches, pains, depression and despair.

Don't wait for the New Year to set another goal, start that project today. It will give you something to think about and because you have something to think about, you have something to say and you have something to say because you are working on projects.

Project After Project
You will find that you improve as a person and your health will improve too. The intricate mechanisms of the body always function well when the mind is happy; enjoying emotionally-induced health.

A positive way in which you can reclaim your personal power.

Inside Scientology And Escaping The Witnesses

Hello Readers and new subscribers

After a much needed break, it's time to get back in touch with the power of the pen.

Inside Scientology And Escaping The Witnesses (TV documentary; 28 August 2015 on Channel 5)

Did anyone see this documentary? It was very interesting. In this television program we hear the stories of two women and their experiences with regards to the religious groups they joined, the tactics used by the cults to break their will and control them.

I noted that although these women managed to break free from their oppressors, they were so conditioned; they couldn’t help going back into the fold of those they claimed to have abused them mentally, physically, sexually and psychologically.

It was thought-provoking to observe the behaviour of both women; as well as the above, they also experienced isolation from the religious group and being kept from their families.  Yet, as the injustice was done to them, both convinced themselves that it was for the greater good in order for them to be accepted into the cult.

I recall one of the women stated that if she became subservient, all her mistreatment would go away. But in fact it did not, it continued to get worse.

It took great guts and courage for these women to reclaim their personal power and recreate their lives again.

This documentary resonates with me because from my own life experience, I have seen these tactics, and/or similar behaviour displayed by groups, organisations, families, including individuals in all areas of life. (Not to mention my own.) The story told by these women are by no mean isolated or unusual.

The bullying/mistreatment element; I have observed that whilst being the victim, thinking your perpetrator(s) will like and/or give you a break from your torture and degradation if you submit, is an illusion; you will be and are despised even more - the message you are giving out is permission to be abused.

We all know that energy attract like energy; we draw the circumstances into our lives when our own power is at a low frequency. We bring about the scenarios mentioned to plague us.  Or more specifically, teach us a lesson.

Through my own life experience, I have observed that there are people in society who’s agenda it is, to seek out any person of vulnerability. Their goal is to take full advantage of the signals being given out by weak souls and abuse them until they have enough power to say STOP.

I remember all too well when I was unfortunate enough to come into contact with a religious group. It was a time in my life when I was very young; in my early 20s, lonely and vulnerable. I had been recently divorced for my husband, was raising my daughter on my own and receiving benefits.

I became friendly with the nephew of a friend. I had no idea they were heavily into their cult. As my friendship with this nephew continued, I became aware that this man (who I subsequently nicknamed ‘John the Baptist’ because of his severe bible bashing tactics), began using psychology to break down my will and make me question everything that I did in my daily everyday life.

He would telephone me constantly; made me tell him everything about my daily routine and then question all that I did. I was becoming indecisive and began to think that I had to run everything by him. (Looking back; he was very good - he rarely set a foot in my home, yet I allowed him to control me from a distance.)

In all my everyday undertaking, personal or otherwise, I had to ask his permission including going out. I became very self conscious and doubtful.

As time went by I began to feel spiritually suffocated and one day when he telephoned to deliver his usual manipulative words disguised as the teachings of God, I plucked up the courage to tell him that I did not need him controlling me anymore and telling me what to do in my everyday life. I had managed very well before he appeared and I can continue to do so on my own. He was somewhat shocked and surprised. I offered to give back all the literature he bombarded me with during our friendship but he said I could keep them. (How Kind!)

He didn’t say much during the phonecall and I never saw or heard from ‘John the Baptist’ again. This may well have been the beginning of what was to come; like the women in the documentary.  I was lucky to escape before he could crush my spirit.

But wait…that’s not all. As if I didn’t learn my lesson the first time; I encountered yet another religious group who tried to recruit me. I almost when through the same routine when I nipped it in the bud. Clearly I must have had, depression, low self esteem, loneliness, desperation and vulnerability written all over my face.

I had to do a lot of soul searching, personal and spiritual develop to bring my energy up to a higher level to rid these religious vampires from my environment.

The women's story like my own is not limited to a religious cult. I have observed that these oppressive and dark forces move in every circle of life. Their ‘disciples’ are everywhere and they prey on the weak and vulnerable, whether it be an individual, a group, a family, a nation or continent. They divide, isolate and erode souls; making them easy prey to control.

Like the women in the documentary, I have come a long way since that young vulnerable woman. I was fortunate to escape my soul being imprisoned forever.

Who Am I

Be Myself Only Better

Who Am I?

I am a descendant of my ancestors.

I am here because of them.

I know all that they did for me was not in vain.

How do I know?  Because I am here.

I am here because of my ancestors

All that I do represents them.

What more can I do?

I can be myself; only better.

If You Were A Biscuit, What Sort Would You Choose To Be?

I remember playing a biscuit game with some associates a long time ago. We asked; if we were a biscuit, what would we choose to be. It was a very interesting game and equally intriguing was the fact that even though we were playing and pretending, everyone chose a biscuit which was kindred to our personality trait. There was no getting away from the truth even when they changed their minds and chose another biscuit; a statement was made that was still true to their character.

One person chose a jaffa cake; because even though it was dark and bitter, people were drawn to the sweetness of the orange inside. And that was her exact personality.

Person two chose a bourbon because although this biscuits is hard, the central substance was soft or squashy, and that was her personality.

Person three chose a pink wafer; because it was pretty and flaky. And that was her true personality.

Person four chose a garibaldi biscuit; who wants to be a plain biscuit! Be different, be bold. Be the life and soul of a party, be noticed.  And that was her personality.

Person five chose a shortbread; because although it looks crumbly and  appears soft, it is actually harder than it looks and won’t break easily. And that was her personality.

What did I choose? Well, I chose a ginger nut biscuit.  Why?  Because it is hard to break. You can dunk it in a hot drink and it can still hold its ground. It takes a long dunk before it softens and/or fall to bits. It is long withstanding, durable. It is the last biscuit on the plate. People avoid it. Only those with strong teeth can bite into it. You need strength, determination and tenacity to engage a gingernut biscuit. And that sums up my personality.

Why not try this game with your friends and family; it can provoke some interesting conversation over the dinner table.

If you were a biscuit, what would you choose to be?

Being Happy

I’ve noticed that most people walk around with a serious look and miserable expression on their faces. So when I meet the odd person who seems to be always happy, I find them very fascinating. And I feel compelled to ask them the question. “Why are you always happy? What’s your secret?”

The responses are nearly always the same. Maybe there are one or two here for you to choose from to get you started on being happy.

How to be Happy:-
  •  Be resilient, even if you are hurting for one reason or another, absorb yourself in work.
  •  Keep busy.
  •  Always make the best you can.
  •  Don’t let circumstances get the better of you, adopt an attitude of self-preservation.
  •  Adopt an attitude of RESILIENCE (bring it on!!) and RESOURCEFULNESS.
  •  Find something you love doing and enjoy what you do.
  •  Give yourself CHOICES regardless.
  •  Achieve more by being NICE to people.
  •  Attitude in life – make the most of it. Life is too short.
  •  Be driven.
  •  Be independent.
  •  Love your job.
  •  Take control of YOUR life.
  • Exercise often – try Yoga.
Decide today to adopt an attitude of happiness.

You never know how your life will then turn out or what you will suddenly attract.

Imagine all the opportunities that will start coming your way.

What Does A Mountain, A Volcanic Rock And The Deep Blue Sea Have In Common?

I found that answer in an inspirational thought that came to me when I was on holiday with my daughter in Madeira 2011. I was so inspired; I was compelled to write it all down:-

On one of our excursions, we drove to the top of the
I had a sense of the mountain's energy
third highest mountain in Madeira. It was spectacular.
The clouds danced round the mountain peak, the greenery
and trees grew scattered about in all shapes and forms
where ever they could.

There were parts of the alp which seemed
so spectacular as it bared it’s bold, jagged and fearful
rockery for all to see.

I had a sense of the mountain’s energy; easy life, eternal beauty, total power and defining it's own destiny.
I can definitely identify with that.

As I absorbed this breath-taking vision, it gave me cause to think; the lower down to the ground you are in life, the more things happen to you; and at times unpleasant things.  And certainly if you don’t know where you are going, life drags you along and takes you for a ride; on a journey you did not ask for.  Obstacles constantly get in your way.  For most of us, it is easy to stay down, that way we can blame life for whatever happens to us or what we do not achieve.

Getting to the top however, takes discipline, even extreme and constant discipline.  But this does not mean giving up anything or everything; well, except stupidity, foolishness and making excuses to take yourself out of the game.

Being at the top of the mountain was a powerful feeling, I loved it as I admired the view, the magnificence and the force. I revered the way the peaks weathered the elements with a pinch of salt; it’s existence and stature unruffled; it’s prominence intact.

I aspired to be like that mountain; I aspired to rise beyond myself and beyond my boundaries. I aspire to model the steadfast qualities, the mantra; easy life, eternal beauty, total power and defining my own destiny.

I loved the sea; so endless, so powerful
and so unshakable.
As we drove along the cliffs, we were always close to the sea.  And we would stop to admire the view; to watch and hear as the ocean released itself and lashed the rocks with it’s might. Or, in another instant, the sea would be calm and vast beyond what the eye could see, going on forever and ever, with no end.

And I loved the sea, so endless, so powerful, so and
unshakable. No force on earth has the power to conquer or still it.

It is a hierarchy with it’s own unquestionable law, to be respected and admired.  A might that begs to be understood.

I aspire to be as powerful as the sea; to release my potential beyond my expectations; to be limitless and free.

The rock showed off the spirit, the force
and the unfathomable nature of the sea.
Further along the shoreline, I admired a huge volcanic rock in the ocean.   Again I loved the way it negotiated wisely
with the sea.  The sea surrounds it and shows off the
rock’s magnificence, might, stability, solidity,
tenaciousness, durability and it’s long withstanding.
And likewise, the rock showed off the spirit, the force
and the unfathomable nature of the sea.  A freedom,
which is totally beyond boundaries and beyond measure.
Together they made a beautiful partnership.

This inspiration reminds me of why I am on my own;
being single is wonderful, and I will only give it up to join with an ideal partner whereby being in dual-ship becomes the best thing in the world.  A unique team of 100% support in dual amplification of our personal powers.  The rock amplifies the sea and the sea returns the favour.   Such beauty; the rock, and the sea, undefeated.  I learnt a lot from that view.  And I aspire to have such a union with the right person.

I loved the inspiration of the mountain, the rock and the deep blue sea.  The difference between them all is, they don’t play small; they play limitless.
