Scavengers - Battling For My Soul

Hello Readers

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I have been recalibrating after a heavy spiritual assault. I was caught off guard and was taken completely by surprise.

Looking at the bigger picture, I can say it is a dangerous luxury to become complacent about anything or circumstances. Just because situations appear to be comfortable, or you’ve reached a goal post, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have achieved full victory; you are only one step nearer to success. You still need to keep you wits about you. Continue to engage in daily exercises; physically, mentally, psychologically and especially spiritually.

Metaphorically speaking, the perimeter of your life still needs to be guarded; your sword and shield still to be maintained; sharpened and polished, ready to protect every aspect of your being. Why? Because scavengers are always watching, coveting and waiting for the window of opportunity; complacency.

Whilst getting back to full spiritual power, I found wisdom and strength in my journal dated 16th July 2013:-

“How do I survive…by becoming a Warrior; by continually sharpening the sword…by being ongoing…seeing the nature of all things and beings. Enforcing and reinforcing the Warrior…..A Warrior knows it is just her and the vast desert of life. A Warrior knows she may drink water here and there and be happy but only for a short while until the reality of the desert of life re-appears….Her only survival until she is home again is to remain in that warrior state…..And where is home? That place where she longs to be. That place where she never has to worry about the stresses and toil of life again. That place where there is always an abundance of everything, including time and love.

Continue to polish that shield…keep sharpening the sword….Always the Warrior until she is home again.”

As I have said before, the only strong female role model I know is Me.

 “I am a black woman, strong beyond all definition;
still defying place, time and circumstances.”
